Tour Details

Upon arrival in Lucknow in the morning, you will be greeted by our representative driver or tour officer and transferred to Nepalgunj, which takes approximately 5 hours by road. Lunch during the journey will be at your own expense. Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, check in to your hotel and receive a warm traditional welcome with a Rudrakshya mala. Lunch will be available at the hotel until 2:30 PM. In the evening, attend a brief orientation program conducted by our tour manager. Overnight stay in Nepalgunj.

An early morning flight will take you to Simikot (approximately 1 hour by aircraft), where you will complete the required immigration formalities. After completing the procedures, take a short 15-minute helicopter ride to Hilsa, followed by a brief 10-minute walk across the border. Continue with a 1-hour drive to Taklakot, where you will complete immigration and customs formalities on the China side. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and relax. Overnight stay in Taklakot.

Today is dedicated to rest and acclimatization in Taklakot (also known as Purang), allowing you to adjust to the high-altitude environment. You may take a gentle walk around the local market, explore the surroundings, and shop for useful items required for the Kailash Kora or purchase souvenirs. Spend the day relaxing and preparing for the upcoming pilgrimage journey. Overnight stay in Taklakot.

After breakfast, drive from Purang to Lake Manasarovar (Chiu Gompa) at 4,560 metres, covering the journey in approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, undertake the sacred Lake Manasarovar Parikrama (approximately 3 hours), including a holy bath and puja at Chiugompa, located near the revered Lake Manasarovar. Spend time experiencing the spiritual atmosphere and serene Himalayan surroundings. Overnight stay in Guesthouse.

After breakfast and collecting your packed lunch, drive to Yama Dwar via Darchen (approximately 50 km / 1.5 hours) for a close and spectacular view of the south face of Mount Kailash. From Yama Dwar, begin the sacred trek to Diraphuk (4,950 metres), covering approximately 14 km in 5–6 hours. Guests not participating in the Kailash Kora will remain at the hotel in Darchen. Upon arrival at Diraphuk, check in to your guesthouse and rest after the day’s trek. Overnight stay in Guesthouse at Diraphuk.

Wake up early in the morning for the opportunity to witness the magnificent Golden Kailash, as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the sacred peak on a clear day. After an early breakfast, begin the challenging trek from Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk (4,850 metres), covering approximately 22 km in 9–10 hours. The journey takes you through the Dolma La High Pass (5,600 metres), the highest point of the Kailash Kora, along with a sacred darshan of Gauri Kunda. Upon arrival at Zuthulphuk, check in to your guesthouse and rest after the spiritual trekking experience. Overnight stay in Guesthouse.

Complete the final stretch of the trek near Darchen (approximately 8 km / 1.5 hours) and then drive to Taklakot. Upon arrival, complete the required immigration formalities before proceeding towards Hilsa (approximately 1 hour). Subject to favourable weather and operational conditions, take a helicopter flight to Simikot for an overnight stay. In case of any delays or helicopter restrictions due to time or operational factors, you may need to stay overnight in Hilsa. Overnight stay at Manasarovar Guesthouse or Simikot Inn.

Early in the morning, you will take a flight to Nepalgunj and check in to your hotel. Guests who wish to continue directly to Lucknow without an overnight stay in Nepalgunj may opt for a vehicle transfer arrangement, subject to availability. For other guests, the rest of the day will be at leisure in Nepalgunj. Overnight stay at Hotel Kalptaru or similar.

After morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Lucknow Airport as per your scheduled flight timings for your onward journey back home. The tour concludes upon arrival at the airport, carrying with you unforgettable memories of this spiritual and adventurous pilgrimage.
