DAY 1 : LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL – CITY TOUR

Welcome to Luang Prabang, one of Southeast Asia’s most peaceful and charming heritage cities, celebrated for its well-preserved architecture, rich culture, and breathtaking natural beauty. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM (early check-in is subject to availability).

After a short rest, begin your city tour with visits to Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and Wat Mai, three of Luang Prabang’s most revered temples. Later, climb Mount Phousi to explore the sacred golden stupa and enjoy spectacular sunset views over the city and the Mekong River.

In the evening, stroll through the lively Night Market, where you can browse a wide variety of handmade textiles, traditional handicrafts, and souvenirs crafted by local artisans and hill-tribe communities.

DAY 2 : LUANG PRABANG – CITY TOUR – PAK OU CAVE (B)

After breakfast, visit the National Museum (Former Royal Palace), which showcases an impressive collection of royal artifacts reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Laos. Continue your city tour with visits to Wat Sene, the oldest temple in Luang Prabang, and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, renowned for its elegant Lao architecture, intricate gilded decorations, and the famous Tree of Life glass mosaic.

In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic Mekong River cruise to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues left by pilgrims over the centuries. En route, stop at Ban Xang Hai, a village famous for its traditional rice wine production.

On the return journey, visit Ban Xang Khong, renowned for its silk weaving and traditional Saa paper making, followed by Ban Phanom, a village well known for its beautiful handwoven textiles.

DAY 3 : LUANG PRABANG – KUANGSI WATERFALL (B)

With an optional early start, you have the amazing chance to take part in the morning rituals where saffron-dressed monks collect Alms (rubbish rice) from the loyal locals. Laos is the only Buddhist nation that still follows this tradition.

From the morning market, you will visit the Phosi Market where you will see all kinds of offerings such as dried buffalo skins, local tea, saltpeter from chickens, vegetables and handmade weavings.

Laos is also famous for its traditional handicrafts. Today you will visit the local villages of Laotian ethnic minorities at Ban Ouay village, Hmong village, Ban Ou village Laoloum village, Ban Thapene village Khmu Village and then drive to Khouangsi waterfall where you can swim in the beautiful turquoise pools, or take a stroll through the forest trails.

By late afternoon, you will return to the city to watch the sunset at Wat phabath. You will spend the night in Luang prabang.

DAY 4 : LUANG PRABANG – ELEPHANT RIDING (B/L)

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the Elephant Village Camp. Upon arrival, meet the camp manager for a brief introduction to elephant conservation and care. Then, enjoy a unique 3 km elephant ride on the elephant’s neck (without a howdah/elephant seat), offering an authentic and memorable experience.

Continue by a traditional Lao long-tail boat to the beautiful Tad Sae Waterfall, where you can relax amidst nature or enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear pools. A delicious lunch will be served at the Elephant Village Restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit nearby local villages and the historic Henri Mouhot Memorial Site, dedicated to the French explorer who introduced Angkor Wat to the Western world. Return to Luang Prabang in the evening.

Note: The elephant ride is conducted without a howdah (elephant seat).

DAY 5 : DEPARTURE (B)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Spend your remaining free time at leisure until your scheduled transfer to Luang Prabang International Airport for your onward flight.
