Upon arrival at Colombo International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour manager, who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Travel by car to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in Kegalle, a scenic journey of approximately 3 hours that offers a glimpse of rural Sri Lanka.

Established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Wildlife Department, the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was created to rescue and care for orphaned elephants. Today, it is home to more than 93 elephants, including playful baby elephants. Visitors can enjoy feeding and bathing the elephants, as well as capturing memorable photographs with these gentle giants.

After the visit, continue to your luxury resort in Dambulla for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s largest and best-preserved cave temple complexes.

Later, explore the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built atop a 200-metre rock, it is famous for its ancient palace ruins, landscaped gardens, and water reservoirs. Continue to the Sigiriya Museum and Pidurangala Rock, known for its reclining Buddha statue and panoramic views. If time permits, enjoy a safari at Minneriya National Park, home to large herds of wild elephants.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka. Visit the renowned Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the country’s most sacred Buddhist sites, believed to house a tooth relic of Lord Buddha.

Continue sightseeing with visits to Kandy Lake, the Ceylon Tea Museum, Lankathilaka Raja Maha Vihara, and the Udawatta Kele Sanctuary, each offering a glimpse into the city’s rich heritage and natural beauty.

In the evening, enjoy a vibrant Sri Lankan Cultural Show featuring traditional music, energetic drum performances, and spectacular acrobatic displays.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic excursion to Nuwara Eliya, often called “Little England” for its cool climate, colonial architecture, and picturesque tea plantations. Once a favourite retreat of the British, the town is surrounded by lush hills and stunning landscapes.

En route, visit the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, home to a remarkable collection of tropical plants, giant bamboo, orchids, and the famous cannonball tree. Continue sightseeing with visits to the Seetha Amman Temple, Horton Plains National Park (subject to time), and the lively Nuwara Eliya Central Market.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Colombo, enjoying the scenic countryside along the way. En route, you may stop to visit attractions such as St. Mary’s Church and the historic Dutch Canal.

Explore the commercial districts and elegant residential areas, including Cinnamon Gardens, Fort Area, Sea Street in Pettah, the bustling Bazaar Area, the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall with its replica of the Avukana Buddha Statue, and Independence Square.

If shopping is on your agenda, visit popular spots such as ODEL, House of Fashion, Arcade Independence Square, Racecourse Shopping Complex, Beverly Street, or enjoy bargaining for local goods at the vibrant Pettah Market.
