Welcome to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Upon arrival at Wattay International Airport, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Standard hotel check-in is at 2:00 PM (early check-in is subject to availability).

In the afternoon, begin your city tour with a visit to Wat Sisaket, the oldest surviving temple in Vientiane, renowned for its thousands of Buddha images and remarkable Lao architecture. Continue to the iconic Patuxay Monument, often called the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane, before visiting the sacred That Luang Stupa, the national symbol of Laos.

Later, enjoy a relaxing sunset boat cruise on the Mekong River. Conclude the day with a visit to Wat Prakeo, the former royal temple built in 1565, famous for housing the Emerald Buddha and its collection of ancient Buddhist sculptures dating from the 6th–9th centuries.

After breakfast, visit the famous Buddha Park, home to hundreds of fascinating Buddhist and Hindu sculptures set in a peaceful riverside garden. After the tour, transfer to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang.

After breakfast, begin a guided tour of Luang Prabang with a visit to the National Museum (Former Royal Palace), home to an impressive collection of royal artifacts showcasing the rich history and culture of Laos. Stroll through the city’s charming streets lined with traditional houses and historic temples before visiting the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, one of the finest examples of classic Lao architecture.

In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic Mekong River cruise to the famous Pak Ou Caves, which house thousands of Buddha statues left by pilgrims over the centuries. Along the way, stop at Ban Xang Hai, renowned for its traditional rice wine production, and visit Ban Xang Khong, a village famous for silk hand-weaving and traditional Saa paper making.

End the day by climbing the 328 steps to Mount Phousi, where you can admire a breathtaking sunset and panoramic views of Luang Prabang and the Mekong River.

Start the day with an optional Alms Giving Ceremony, where saffron-robed monks collect offerings from local residents—a unique and centuries-old Buddhist tradition in Laos. Afterwards, explore the lively Morning Market, filled with local produce, handicrafts, and traditional hill-tribe products.

Return to the hotel for breakfast before visiting Wat Visoun, one of Luang Prabang’s oldest and most sacred temples, famous for its distinctive Watermelon Stupa. Continue to the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre to learn about the country’s diverse ethnic cultures and traditional lifestyles.

In the afternoon, travel to the spectacular Kuang Si Waterfall. En route, visit the ethnic villages of Ban Ouay, Ban Ou, and Ban Thapene. At the waterfall, enjoy a leisurely walk through the national park, visit the Asian Bear Rescue Centre, and relax or swim in the beautiful turquoise pools.
