Welcome to Vientiane, the charming capital of Laos. Upon arrival at Wattay International Airport, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in (standard check-in at 2:00 PM, early check-in subject to availability).

In the afternoon, begin your city tour with a visit to Wat Sisaket, the oldest surviving temple in Vientiane, renowned for its thousands of Buddha images and remarkable Lao architecture. Continue to the iconic Patuxay Monument, often referred to as Vientiane’s Arc de Triomphe, for a photo stop before visiting the sacred That Luang Stupa, the national symbol of Laos.

Later, enjoy a relaxing sunset boat cruise on the Mekong River, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Conclude the day with a visit to Wat Prakeo, the former royal temple built in 1565, famous for its Emerald Buddha image and ancient Buddhist sculptures dating back to the 6th–9th centuries.

After breakfast, visit the famous Buddha Park, home to hundreds of fascinating Buddhist and Hindu sculptures set amidst peaceful surroundings. Later, depart for the scenic town of Vang Vieng.

En route, stop at the KM52 Hmong Market to experience local culture and browse traditional handicrafts, followed by a visit to Ban Tha Heu Village, well known for its traditional dry fish production.

After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, visit the local market before heading to Tham Phu Kham Cave. Take time to explore the cave and enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the nearby Blue Lagoon.

In the afternoon, continue your scenic drive to Xieng Khouang, stopping at Phou Khoun Viewpoint (Phieng Fa Restaurant) to admire the breathtaking green mountain landscapes and capture memorable photographs.

Upon arrival in Xieng Khouang, check in to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Xieng Khouang.

After breakfast, visit the Central Market and the UXO MAG Exhibition Centre to learn about the history and impact of unexploded ordnance in Laos. Continue to explore the famous Plain of Jars, visiting Jar Site 2 and Jar Site 3, known for their ancient stone jars and scenic surroundings.

Later, travel to Muang Khun, the former provincial capital, to discover the ruins of historic temples and pagodas, including the beautiful That Foun Stupa built in the Lanna architectural style and a temple featuring a large seated Buddha statue.

On the return journey to Phonsavan, visit Jar Site 1, the largest and most impressive site, home to over 300 mysterious stone jars set against panoramic countryside views.

After breakfast, enjoy some free time at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, meet your local representative and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing or exploring the charming surroundings at your own pace. After breakfast, we visit the National Museum of the former Royal Palace, where we can see a beautiful collection of artifacts representing the richness of Laotian culture from the time of the early kings to the time of the last sovereign. From there, we walk by many beautiful temples, and traditional houses, until we reach the grand Wat Xiengthong with its low-roofed buildings representing the classic Laotian style.

In the afternoon, we embark on a cruise to visit the mystery Pak Ou Caves, where we will take in the panoramic views of the peaceful countryside as we cruise along the Mekong river. On the way, we will stop at Ban Xang Hai, where rice wine is made, and on arrival, we will visit two linked caves filled with thousands of gold-plated Buddha statues of different shapes and sizes, left by pilgrims.

At the end of the day, we will walk up the 328 steps leading to the summit of Phousi Hill, where we will have the best view of the sunset.

We will spend the night in Luang prabang.

Ban Xang Khong is a village famous for silk-hand-weaving and the traditional Saa paper

Start the day with an optional early morning Alms Giving Ceremony, where saffron-robed monks collect offerings from local residents—a unique and centuries-old Buddhist tradition in Laos. Continue to the vibrant Morning Market to experience local life and browse traditional products, handicrafts, and fresh produce.

Return to the hotel for breakfast before visiting Wat Visoun, one of Luang Prabang’s oldest and most sacred temples, renowned for its iconic Watermelon Stupa. Continue to the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’ diverse ethnic communities, traditional arts, and cultural heritage.

In the afternoon, visit the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfall. En route, stop at the ethnic villages of Ban Ouay, Ban Ou, and Ban Thapene to experience the local way of life. At the waterfall, enjoy a leisurely walk through the national park, visit the Asian Bear Rescue Centre, and relax by the stunning turquoise pools, where swimming is possible.

Return to Luang Prabang in the evening and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Luang Prabang.
